© Reuters Saudi Arabia stocks higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 0.66%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the rose 0.66% to hit a new 5-year high.

The best performers of the session on the were Scientific and Medical Equipment House Company CJSC (SE:), which rose 9.96% or 8.40 points to trade at 92.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:) added 5.34% or 12.00 points to end at 236.60 and The Saudi British Bank (SE:) was up 5.17% or 2.15 points to 43.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (SE:), which fell 4.91% or 7.40 points to trade at 143.40 at the close. Saudi Cable Company (SE:) declined 4.79% or 0.86 points to end at 17.08 and Saudi Cement Company (SE:) was down 3.77% or 2.30 points to 58.70.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 147 to 76 and 13 ended unchanged.

Shares in Scientific and Medical Equipment House Company CJSC (SE:) rose to all time highs; rising 9.96% or 8.40 to 92.70. Shares in Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.34% or 12.00 to 236.60. Shares in Saudi Cable Company (SE:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.79% or 0.86 to 17.08. Shares in The Saudi British Bank (SE:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 5.17% or 2.15 to 43.70.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 4.00% or 3.93 to $94.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 3.88% or 3.99 to hit $98.79 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 2.60 to trade at $1,948.20 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.14% to 4.08, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 99.90.
